Dandruff: Hot hair care…

I have very severe dandruff. It never seems to clear up, and it is extremely aggravating. Ive tried to moisturize my scalp with everything out there but nothing works. What can I do? 

This is a very common nuisance. Unfortunately, dandruff may not be cured with store-bought products, and sometimes those products can make the problem worse. I strongly recommend consulting a dermatologist, as it could be a fungal infection of the scalp. There are some medications that’ll clear you right up. Be careful if you are prescribed a medicated shampoo, as these may help your scalp but dry your hair. Apply the shampoo directly to the scalp, not the hair.

Afterward, make sure you condition thoroughly with a natural conditioner. Also, try switching your products. Stay away from petroleum, hair lotions, heavy greases, etc. Those products clog the pores and make it worse. Try natural shampoos and product lines. They may cost a little more, but your skin and hair are worth the investment.
