Curated by Hampton alumna Angela Morris Pennyfeather, Class of 2006, Hampton Beauty Experience made its debut during The Reunion Block Party, bringing a fresh perspective to the intersection of Black beauty, hair, culture, and HBCU pride.

With over 3,000 alumni in attendance and performances from artists including Travis Porter, The Reunion Block Party provided an exciting cultural backdrop for introducing the beauty experience.
The inaugural collaboration featured Pardon My Fro, a lifestyle brand celebrating Black women, natural hair, and self-expression. The distribution of Pardon My Fro products helped introduce the brand to Hampton alumni and spotlight products designed for the natural hair community.

As a first-of-its-kind concept for the Reunion Block Party, Hampton Beauty Experience was created to expand the event beyond traditional Homecoming festivities by introducing beauty-focused brand partnerships, product discovery, and opportunities for alumni engagement.
More than a Homecoming moment, the vision is to build a platform where beauty brands can connect authentically with HBCU audiences while celebrating the individuality, influence, and beauty traditions of alumni across generations.
